Under commercial law, commercial lawsuits are under the duties of the Commercial Court of First Instance and the Civil Court of First Instance. Other branches of law such as commercial business law, corporate law, precious paper law, transportation law, capital law, maritime law, intellectual property law, insurance law, competition law are also covered by commercial law.

Generally, it is considered as the legal rules governing commercial enterprises and all commercial relations in order to establish healthy commercial relations. The scope of the Commercial Law has been determined by keeping it separate from the special cases covered by the Law of Obligations due to the broad concept of commercial affairs. Commercial law may be consulted for the proper execution of commercial relations, or solutions can be found under commercial law in case of disputes. Trade law is guaranteed not only by commercial activities within the country, but also the disputes arising from international trade relations and international trade relations are guaranteed by the legislation covered by commercial law.
